This is my favorite time of year, when sweet, juicy, sun-ripened peaches are falling off the trees.
I went peach picking with my family last week and we now have peaches coming out our ears. Peach cobbler, peach shakes, peach pancakes, peach ice cream, peach french toast, peach everything.
The best way to preserve your peaches is by peeling, slicing, and freezing them in freezer bags. This way you have access to peach smoothies year round.
I will be honest, I don’t usually like greens in my smoothies but there is always an exception when peaches are involved. The peaches add sweetness to the smoothie while the apple adds tartness and the banana gives a smooth and creamy texture. This well balanced smoothie is the start you need for a busy day.
